Situated in the prestigious residential and retail district of Knightsbridge, The Wellesley overlooks London’s Hyde Park. Branded the city’s finest boutique-grand hotel, it combines sophisticating luxury with captivating grandeur. Offering guests an impeccable level of service, this Art Deco-style hotel is also renowned for the finest Italian food, stylish live music and impressive spirit and cigar collections.

The property offers guests only 36 bedrooms and suites that have been styled in homage to the edifice’s history dating back to the 1920s. The former entrance to Hyde Park Corner Tube station, this Art Deco masterpiece offers guests every modern convenience.

It was named after Sir Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington, a decorated military leader who served as Prime Minister between 1828 and 1834. The building itself also formerly housed famed iconic jazz and cabaret venue Pizza on the Park. The location’s storied history and jazz musical legacy played an important role when the building was re-opened in 2012 as a luxury boutique hotel.

Today the Wellesley offers a number of entirely unique hospitality services. Take yourself back to times past when the service industry was in its heyday in the 1920s with The Wellesley’s Running Butler. Jogging enthusiasts will quite literally be waited on hand and foot by a butler with refreshments and homemade protein snacks in Hyde Park. After the run, the butler will then draw a hot bubble bath to soothe sore muscles. This service is complimentary with any suite booking.

Should running not be the guest’s cup of tea, perhaps one of the 30 on offer at the Afternoon Tea in the Art Deco-inspired Jazz lounge will strike a chord. Designed by pastry chef Cristiano Paolini, this tea offers classic English nibbles with a modern twist. The many blends are introduced to patrons by the in-house tea sommelier.

If afternoon tea sounds a touch feminine, the Cigar Terrace will allow guests to enjoy a cigar of their choice on a heated terrace with leather furniture. The resident humidor specialist would be delighted to walk cigar novices through the extensive menu.
