Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has announced the latest project in the group’s expanding portfolio with its first resort in Austria, scheduled to open in 2020.
Set in the beautiful Austrian mountains, Six Senses Kitzbühel Alps will be open year-round and feature 80 rooms including 50 residences and a selection of chalets available for purchase.
Austria is known for its grub and dining here will focus on seasonality with an a la carte restaurant offering local dishes with ingredients supplied from nearby organic farms. The second dining venue will feature a delicatessen and all-day dining menu offering international cuisine. The lobby bar will feature innovative beverage services and alfresco seating in the warmer seasons.
A Six Senses Spa will offer a layered approach to wellness. In addition to a range of signature massages, restorative therapies, facials, body treatments and personal journeys, the spa will be the pivotal point for Six Senses Integrated Wellness, which is based on the preventative principles of Eastern medicine and the result-oriented Western influences. This innovative approach will allow in-house experts to measure and analyse key physiological biomarkers in order to provide guests with lifestyle and nutritional advice as well as a personalised programme of virtuous spa treatments, fitness and wellness activities. The spa café will also offer outside dining plus an indoor dining room with fireplace.
Itching for activity? There’s skiing and hikes with ski-in, ski-out access and in summer over 75 miles of mountain bike paths, as well as 311 miles of hiking trails to explore, plus cycling, swimming, trekking, mountaineering, nature walks and golf too.
