Johnny Coca, creative director of Mulberry, has seen the British leather goods label’s annual turnover triple under his leadership. He’s revamped classics liked the Bayswater and the cross-body Clifton. Now for autumn/winter 2016, he’s introduced the Camden.

The single-handled, bucket-style bag features polished hardware and a hobo-inspired slouch when carried open. When closed it exhibits a clean, geometric silhouette reminiscent of English punk culture. Coca says, “Zips make a powerful subversive statement which, when contrasted with lux materials create an edgy aesthetic.”

The bag is available in multiple colours, in a variety of textiles from leopard print in calf-hair to classic grained leather. From Camden to Mayfair, this bag is certain to make a statement anywhere regardless of fashion sensibility. Once again Mulberry has struck a balance between tradition and effortless cool to create the most coveted handbag of the season.
