There are some hotly anticipated restaurants opening in London this year. Here’s five for starters.
Frenchie, Covent Garden
Paris restaurant Frenchie comes to London’s Covent Garden this Spring. Frenchie was opened in 2009 in Paris by Greg and Marie Marchand. Greg has had plenty of experience in London, working at the Mandarin Oriental, the Savoy Grill, and also Fifteen (where he found the nickname Frenchie).

The Four Season Hotel, Ten Trinity Square
The Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square neighbours the Tower of London, the River Thames and Tower Bridge. Within a restored Grade II* listed landmark from 1922, this prestigious address includes 41 Four Seasons Private Residences and a private members’ club. The third Four Seasons hotel in London is set to open late 2016.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Islington
Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White is opening his concept in Islington, London, in February. The 140 cover site will be based on the ground floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton Islington.

Zayane, Notting Hill
Zayane, a modern Moroccan restaurant, is launching on Golborne Road, London, this month with former Michelin starred Thackeray’s and The Ivy chef, Chris Bower taking charge. The 68 cover restaurant has a ‘sophisticated’ menu that combines intense flavours and spices of authentic Moroccan cuisine with European influences.

Viajante, Wapping
Chiltern Firehouse’s executive chef, Nuno Mendes, is to reopen his beloved Michelin starred Viajante restaurant concept via a £1.75 million crowdfunding campaign. Mendes, who also runs the Portuguese focused Taberna do Mercado in Spitalfields, has secured a location for Viajante 2.0 – a riverside Victorian warehouse in Metropolitan Wharf in Wapping. Viajante is set to open in late Autumn 2016.
