GOURMET SKISAFARI

The culinary season on the slopes of Alta Badia kicks off in December with the Gourmet Skisafari, the gastronomic ski tour sampling gourmet dishes created by top chefs from the most exclusive international ski destinations. This delicious event, in the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, brings local and international gourmet chefs to mountain huts where the chefs will delight skiers, creating dishes based on regional recipes and traditions from their home country. This special ski tour also offers a unique opportunity to meet the famous chefs personally and hear the stories behind their traditions.
SWISS CHAMPIONSHIP

Don’t miss the exhilarating bobsleigh championships set against the breathtaking backdrop of St. Moritz. Races will be running daily from the 26th December, with the chance to witness both the men’s and women’s bobsleigh and skeleton training before the main events begin. St. Moritz, affectionately known as being “the top of the world”, offers a great selection of bars, restaurants and boutiques to while away the hours between races.
40TH INTERNATIONAL HOT AIR BALLOON WEEK

Chateau-d’Oex will be the venue for the International Hot Air Balloon Festival for the 40th time this January. From the 27th January to the 4th February 2018, more than 70 balloons will climb in to the sky, providing a colourful and inspiring scene. Flying high above the Saanenland, this display of hot air balloons will be one you won’t forget. With the balloons benefiting from the special micro-climate of Chateau-d’Oex, you won’t find another place quite like it. When night falls, the crisp evening sky will light up with the fires of the balloons providing quite a display.
ST. MORITZ ICE CRICKET

The next Cricket on Ice Trophy Tournament is set to take place on the lake of St Moritz from Thursday 8th to Saturday 10th February 2018. The 31st edition, and the most prestigious event in the domestic Swiss cricketing calendar, is a sensational experience, attracting international players and jet-setters alike from all over the world. The Swiss resort is famous for the adrenalin of the Cresta run, but for sheer quirkiness and sporting brilliance, few sports events can beat the February Cricket Festival on the ice.
