Our recent familiarisation trip to Bologna offered the perfect combination of opulent accommodations, Michelin-rated cuisine, and unique experiences.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Majestic già Baglioni, where we were greeted by the hotel’s general manager, Mr Tiberio Biondi. The hotel’s décor exudes luxury and elegance, and the Presidential Suite, where Princess Diana once stayed during her visit, is truly fit for royalty. However, the real gem of the hotel is the Art Deco Suite, located on the 5th floor, which boasts a private lift that leads directly to the room. The suite has a stunning terrace that offers a breathtaking city view.
Bologna is a dream destination for foodies, and the hotel’s restaurant, I Carracci, is a must-visit. The restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is already in the Michelin guide and is in the process of getting its first Michelin star. The cuisine is exceptional, and the elegant ambience only adds to the experience.
Our trip also included several visits that offered a unique and fascinating glimpse into the region’s culture and industry. We highly recommend witnessing the production of Parmigiano-Reggiano and balsamic vinegar, as the processes are truly awe-inspiring.
Overall, our Fam trip to Bologna was a true feast for the senses, offering world-class accommodations, exceptional cuisine, and unique experiences that are sure to impress. At Insignia, we are dedicated to providing our clients with the very best in luxury travel, and our trip to Bologna is no exception.
