Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, part of the prestigious Oetker Collection and the grand dame of Baden-Baden, is inviting guests to embrace their inner ‘Top Gear’ persona, with the launch of the hotel’s new driving experience in one of three classic cars titled the ‘Brenners Fleet.’ Brenners has long been associated with classic cars, with Baden-Baden playing host to the annual ‘concours d’élégance automobile’. Classic car enthusiasts can now put their foot down all the way along the beautiful Black Forest on one, two, or all three routes, taking their pick from – a VW Samba ‘Oskar’, a VW Beetle ‘Herbie’, or a Porsche 928.

The specially created tours pass through some of the most beautiful settings in the picturesque Black Forest, including Mummelsee Lake, known for its dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages – where legend has it, comes alive at night with the King of the Lake and his mermaids. Adventurous spirits can explore the lake’s perimeter path or scale the nearby 1164m Hornisgrinde, the highest peak in the Northern Black Forest. Motorists will have the chance to experience the Black Forest like never before as they shoot past the Schwarzenbach-Talsperre, the largest reservoir in the Northern and Middle Black Forest at 668.5m above sea level. A short, scenic boat tour away, the journey continues to Freudenstadt which boasts Germany’s largest market. Down the famed road from Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt is the third route, the oldest and most well-known in the Black Forest. It offers spectacular views of the Rhine Valley stretching as far as the Vosges Mountains. Guests can savour the drive through the Murg Valley with its unparalleled panoramas and varied hiking opportunities and pitstop along the way for a glass of vino at one of the many vineyards.
